In 2018, Humanities Commons honored one of the most time-honored traditions of the season: summer camp. We hosted a virtual summer camp for users old and new. It helped participants to update, build, and achieve an outstanding digital presence through HC. Please check out the discussions from Summer 2018 to see the fantastic work and thought-provoking conversations that our participants took part in last year.
In 2019, we hosted two Humanities Commons Summer Refresh Workshops. These events encouraged you to set aside time to update your digital presence on HC. The group is a space to ask questions, connect with other users, and see the various exciting ways that other scholars use HC to build their presence online.

I’m sure I’m not the only one that could use some time set aside to update my digital presence. Do you have any conferences, publications, projects, and/or teaching experience from this past year that you’ve yet to add to your HC profile? Do you want to learn more about how to effectively share this information on HC? Then please consider participating in one of the two Humanities Commons Summer Refresh Workshops that we’ll be hosting this summer!
Both of the workshops will last five days and each of the five days will focus on a different aspect of your digital presence. We are offering the workshop twice this year to allow you to choose the week that works best for you. @CaitlinDuffy49, along with some mentors who completed the Summer Camp program last year, will provide guidance, advice, and examples to focus your work on each day. Although this workshop is designed primarily with users familiar with Humanities Commons already, we will also provide help to any new-comers to the network. All are welcome!
The Humanities Commons Summer Refresh Workshop is a great space to revamp your digital presence and connect with other HC users. It’s also a great bit of training to add to your CV!

Join this group if you plan to participate, as the first round of tips, tricks, guidance, and advice will be posted here on Monday, July 8th! Once you’ve joined, be sure to update your group email notifications so that you can receive emails for each day’s challenge.
